Symphonic Winds -- This is the top concert band at the high school. Students are accepted on an audition basis only.   This group performs music at the AA level, which is the highest level of performance in Ohio.   The Symphonic Winds have consistently received superior ratings at both District and State Band Festivals for the last 20 years. This group has performed at many educators conferences around the state, most recently the 2000 OMEA Conference in Cleveland and the 2000 OBDC Conference in Akron. In 1991, this group performed at the prestigious Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.     The Perry Symphonic Winds is a band that practices every day during school for 40 minutes and on Tuesday evenings for two hours. The Symphonic Winds Band was invited to play in Indiana and Chicago one time each. Along with these accomplishments, they play at the Canton Palace Theater once a year.
