Director Mr. Gregory Wright
Gregory Wright, an alumnus of Perry High School, rejoins Perry Local Schools this as Director of Bands who leads the Symphonic Winds,Concert Band, and Jazz Band,as well as assisting with the Marching Band, freshman and 8th grade bands at Edison Junior. Mr. Wright returns to Perry from the University of Louisville in Kentucky, where he served as Graduate Teaching Assistant with the University Marching and Pep Bands. Mr. Wright is very excited to be rejoining Perry Local Schools as a faculty member and looks forward to great musical experiences with our students.

Mr. Wright graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He studied undergraduate conducting with Mr. Mark S. Kelly. Mr. Wright attended Bowling Green on a Music Talent Award sponsored by the College of Musical Arts, as well as several academic and music scholarships. Mr. Wright was also active in the National Honorary Band Fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi, which he served in the office of Parliamentarian. He also served as Summer Assistant Marching Band Director for Perry High School for four summers during his undergraduate studies. Mr. Wright's education at Bowling Green was completed by his student teaching experiences in Sylvania Southview High School near Toledo, Ohio. At Southview, Mr. Wright assisted with their most select concert band, jazz band, junior high bands, and beginning band program.
Mr. Wright's public school teaching experiences consisted of one year at McComb Local Schools and two years at Cotton Valley Local Schools. As head instrumental music director for both of these districts, he was responsible for all band teaching and administrative duties for students in grades five through twelve. In addition to ensemble directing duties, he also taught high school music theory courses at both schools, as well as junior high general music for two years.

Director Mrs. Susan Huston Mrs. Susan Huston graduated from the College of Wooster as a Music Education Major (Instrumental - Flute) in the Spring of 2001 and was Drum Major for the Fighting Scot's Marching Band for three years, and President of the Student Music Association.
Susan is responsible for Directing the Perry High School Marching Band ,and several groups from the sixth grade through twelfth.. |

Percussion Mr. Darin Good Darin Good received his Bachelor of Music Education from West Virginia University in 1994, with a specialty in Percussion Pedagogy. While at WVU, he performed in the Percussion Ensemble, Steel Drum Ensemble, and the African Drum Ensemble. He was also the Principal Percussionist for the WVU Orchestra.
Since graduation, Darin has been teaching private drum lessons and playing with the Tuscarawas Philharmonic Orchestra. He was hired to be the Perry High School Marching Band Percussion Instructor in the fall of of 1998. Along with his private teaching schedule, Darin also currently works as a substitute teacher for Edison Junior High School and Perry High School.
